Miniatures Roundup

I didn’t get much painting done during that stretch of writing I did this spring, but I did get some done beforehand, and I’ve been trying to get more done since.

This guy was fun to work on. I was trying to get that Citadel dirty white cloth effect. I’m pretty happy with him.

Another EC3D model, his no-support models are easy to print. I seem to always have paint left on the palette when I use metallics, so I put it on whatever backlog minis I have at hand. This guy surely started that way. Another simple guy, but he does what he’s supposed to.

One of our friends gives me funny Krampus ornaments every year for Christmas, so this year I printed and painted a Krampus mini for her. Another EC3D model, I love the arm sticking out of the sack.

I picked up the new Kill Team starter set last fall so I have a squad of space marines to assemble and paint. I printed these off-brand guys to test paint schemes on. I used it as an opportunity to experiment with shading and highlighting techniques too.

Naturally, I finished these Dwarven Forge lizardfolk shortly after my home group left Hot Springs Island to return to the city of Ptolus. Oh well. They saw some table time when they were mostly done, and now I have as many lizardfolk as I should ever need. Now that they’re back in the city, I should finish the ratfolk I started. Maybe I’ll get those done in time for them to go somewhere else!

I got some ruined buildings and modular roofs done (various 3D prints). You can never have enough ruins, and they let me work out my Tudor paint technique before doing a stack of Dwarven Forge pieces.
